Keychains — Overview

Beside the sticker sheets on the counter of PD's collectible layer hangs something new: Keychains — little hard-plastic and hard-rubber charm characters, sold from the capsule machine at Le Depanneur ☯. Where stickers are editions peeled from sheets, every Keychain is a one-of-one: its own character, rolled the moment you crank the machine, on its own contract, drawn entirely by that contract. No image files exist anywhere — the charm you see, the chain it hangs from, even its idle swing and its blink, are emitted as pure onchain SVG every time anyone looks at it.

But the shape and face are only half the object. A Keychain rewards the life behind it:

  • Your streak buys luck. At the crank, your PriceStreak and PriceRank set your luck tier (0–3), and luck raises your odds of a RARE or ULTRA pull. A 100-day streak more than triples your ULTRA odds.
  • The look is the charm's own. Its palette, its finish (matte up to gold and chrome) and its chain metal (steel, chrome, gold) roll at the crank and never change. Gold and chrome are genuine rare pulls.
  • Luck is frozen in. Every charm carries its Luck trait forever — proof of the life it came out of.
  • Polish records your life on the charm's PriceStreak and PriceRank traits, and the bond wipes those when it changes hands. See The Living Charm.

How: Open Le Depanneur — the KEYCHAINS ⚷ button at the bottom of your PriceSprite card, or the ⚷ key in the wallet settings row — and crank the machine.

  • You can christen it — one name, ever, engraved on a little tag on the ring.

This section is the complete manual: this overview (the cast and every trait table), Le Depanneur (the machine, the fair roll, the money math), and The Living Charm (polish, the bond, christening, wearing it).

The cast — 12 shapes

Every charm is one of twelve body shapes, each a full character with a face, rubber-hose arms, white gloves, and (for most) legs with chunky shoes. The pull odds below are the literal weight table inside the contract:

Shape Odds Notes Shape Odds Notes
HEART 16% the classic TAG 8% a price tag — the hole is real
STAR 12% five points MOON 7% fat crescent, eyes on the body
FLOWER 12% six petals, face on the disc GEM 6% faceted, wears its cuts
GHOST 10% wavy hem, floats — no legs PLANET 5% ringed
CLOVER 10% four leaves + stem SPARK 4% six-point burst
BOLT 8% dangles — no legs ALIEN 2% the chase pull

Every trait, every odds

All rolled at crank, frozen forever. Weights are contract-public.

The two coin slots — ⚋ YIN and ⚊ YANG. The machine takes your coin in one of two slots, and the slot you pick steers who drops: YIN deals the pinks and pastels — lashes, hearts, teary eyes, bows; YANG deals the louds and darks — googly and starry eyes, shades, crowns and antennas. Every option stays rollable on both coins — the slot bends the odds, it never closes a door. Shapes are universal: the ALIEN chase is exactly equal whichever slot your coin drops in.

Eyes — 15 styles. Odds by coin:

Style YIN YANG Style YIN YANG
ROUND 22% 12% SPIRAL 4% 6%
SLEEPY 14% 1% 3D GLASSES 4% 5%
WINK 12% 7% SUNGLASSES 3% 8%
LASHES 10% 1% STARRY 3% 12%
TEARY 8% 2% DIZZY 2% 9%
HEARTS 8% 5% X X 2% 5%
GOOGLY 6% 22% LASERS 1% 4%
VISOR 1% 1%

Iris colors. The five pupil styles (GOOGLY · ROUND · WINK · LASHES · TEARY) can wear a colored iris: INK 65% · BLUE, GREEN, AMBER, VIOLET, RED 7% each. SLEEPY's half-closed pupils are always INK; every other eye style draws no pupil and reads Iris: NONE.

Mouths — 7: SMILE 26% · OPEN 22% · CAT 13% · O 11% · TONGUE 11% · FANG 9% · FLAT 8%

Brows: none 66% · RAISED 20% · BENT 14%

Poses — 5: PEACE 40% · WAVE 18% · HIPS 15% · CHILL 15% · CHEER 12%. The peace sign is house canon: two fingers up in a V, the folded pair resting on the palm, the thumb folded over them — always on the inside of the hand.

Accessories (per coin): YIN — none ~52% · BOW 20% · HALO 13% · WINGS 8% · ANTENNA 5% · CROWN 2%. YANG — none ~49% · CROWN 18% · ANTENNA 15% · WINGS 7% · HALO 7% · BOW 4%.

Materials: hard PLASTIC 70% (the domed, light-caught cast with a specular glint) · hard RUBBER 30% (the same dome pressed flat and dull — no glint). The dome itself is the miniplayer's own lighting, ported exactly. On a GOLD or CHROME finish the metal replaces the dome and keeps its glint, so both materials look the same there.

Feet & extras: boots or sneakers 50/50 (sneakers in the accent color) · accent socks 35% · blush 60%.

Palettes — 12, on the rarity ladder. The palette rolls its rung first — COMMON 60% · UNCOMMON 25% · RARE 11.5% · ULTRA 3.5% at luck 0 (luck shifts these; see luck) — then your coin picks the member:

Rung YIN YANG
COMMON BUBBLEGUM 34 · MALLRAT 28 · BLUEBERRY 20 · CREAMSICLE 18 CREAMSICLE 32 · BLUEBERRY 30 · MALLRAT 24 · BUBBLEGUM 14
UNCOMMON VAPOR 34 · SEAFOAM 26 · CHERRY 22 · SLIME 18 SLIME 32 · CHERRY 32 · VAPOR 18 · SEAFOAM 18
RARE SKY 58 · GRAPE 42 GRAPE 62 · SKY 38
ULTRA ACID 72 · STATIC 28 STATIC 66 · ACID 34

(Percent within the rung.) Each palette is a body color + an accent that dresses the sneakers, socks, bows, antenna bobbles, planet rings, and visor lights.

Finish — the charm's own roll, on the same ladder: MATTE (COMMON) · GLOSS (UNCOMMON) · GLITTER (RARE) · GOLD or CHROME (ULTRA, 60/40).

Chain — six links on every charm; the metal is its own roll: STEEL (COMMON and UNCOMMON) · CHROME (RARE) · GOLD (ULTRA).

Multiply it out and the machine holds 58,060,800 possible characters — and each one also rolls its own finish and chain metal on top.

Alive by construction

Every Keychain swings gently on its ring and blinks every few seconds — animation written into the SVG itself, no app required. Anywhere the raw art renders, it moves.

Where Keychains live

  • Le Depanneur — the keychain shop. Doors: the KEYCHAINS ⚷ button at the bottom of your PriceSprite card, and the ⚷ key in the wallet settings row, beside the gnome.
  • Your profile — wear as many of your Keychains as you like; your chosen top three hang as mini charms at the end of your profile tags, or SHUFFLE draws the hanging three fresh from everything you wear on each visit. Nothing shows until you choose to wear one.
  • The market — Keychains trade on PD's own book like art and stickers, and go into Exchange trades beside Outputs and sheets, with one thing every buyer should know: the charm's PriceStreak and PriceRank traits reset on transfer. The look — palette, finish, chain, Luck and all — is exactly what you see.

Two marks share the job: ⚷ — Chiron, the wounded healer, astrology's "the key" — wears the Keychain doors and the charm's chain line, and ☯ — the yin-yang of the two coin slots — is Le Depanneur's own sign, on the machine cap and its buttons.
