Albums ◰

Star it, want it, shelve it. Starring is a bookmark and the Wishlist is buy intent — an Album is the third thing: a set you built on purpose, in an order you chose, meant to be looked at.

◰ is the Albums mark across PD.

How: Tap ◰ on any artwork to open the Add-to-Album sheet; your albums live on your profile.

An album tile, annotated: the living 2-by-2 mosaic cover that quietly swaps cells, the album number that is its whole identity, the count, the live worth of its listed Outputs, and the maker attribution it wears away from home. ①︎ ②︎ ALBUM 03 ③︎ 12 OUTPUTS ④︎ ◊ 1.8 ⑤︎ @collector
  • ①︎ The living mosaic — the first four Outputs, swapping one cell at a time; pick a COVER and it goes single-Output, full bleed.
  • ②︎ The number — the album's whole identity; albums are never named.
  • ③︎ The count — what it holds.
  • ④︎ ◊ worth — the live sum of what its listed members are asking.
  • ⑤︎ The maker — away from your profile, every tile carries your @name; curation is always attributable.

Numbered, never named

An album has no title. It is ALBUM 01, ALBUM 02, in the order you made them, and that number is its identity — "@collector's Album 03" is how the whole platform refers to it.

That is deliberate. Albums are seen by other people, and PD gives users no public-facing writing beyond their @name. What an album says, it says with the art in it. (The opposite trade is Lists — private, and named for exactly that reason.)

There's no cap. Make as many as you want.

Albums are public

Anyone can see an album and who made it. A tile carries the maker's @name over the album number wherever it appears away from their own profile, so curation is always attributable.

What that means in practice:

  • Your albums are visible on your profile to visitors, not just to you.
  • Every album holding an Output of a Project shows up on that Project's + More › Albums tab — everyone's, not just yours — so a project page reads as how the whole platform has shelved this work.
  • An artwork's own Albums tab shows the albums it sits in.
  • Shelving an album surfaces it to your followers in the social feed.

The rest of your saving layer is private: Starred, the Wishlist, Lists, and History are yours alone. See What's Private.

The cover

An album's tile is a living mosaic — the first four Outputs, in a 2×2 grid, quietly swapping one cell at a time for other members whenever the album holds more than four. It never sits still, and it never shows you the same four forever.

Pick a COVER instead and the tile becomes that single Output, full bleed, and stops shuffling.

Under the art, the tile reads the album's number, its count, and — when any member is listed — its ◊ worth, the live sum of what those Outputs are asking right now.

Getting Outputs in

  • ◰ on any artwork opens the Add-to-Album sheet.
  • A multi-select bar — tick Outputs anywhere they're selectable and file the whole selection at once.
  • A Project's Albums tab offers your Outputs from that collection straight under the shelf: tap to pick, then + ADD TO ALBUM. Hold none of it yet and it offers the first four minted Outputs so you can start a shelf anyway.

The sheet lists your albums with a tick on the ones already holding the Output, plus New Album to make one and file in a single move.

Inside an album

Tap any Output to open it.

▶ plays the album full screen — one Output at a time, crossfading, the whole shelf as an exhibition. (In ASCII Art Mode the show exhibits the text backups instead.)

SELECT turns on the power tools:

Tool What it does
REMOVE Pulls the ticked Outputs out. They stay yours, and stay starred.
MOVE Sends them to another album — out of this one, into that one, one step.
FRONT Jumps them to the front of the order.
COVER Pins one ticked Output as the album's cover.
DELETE ALBUM Deletes the shelf. Every Output in it stays exactly where it was.

An album's order is yours — it never re-sorts itself behind your back.

Albums and the Vault

The Vault (⚿) works the same way, for Outputs you actually own: numbered walls of grails, with a stats block reading the wall's real money and rarity. An album can hold anything on PD; a vault holds only your own.
