$PRICE — Official Merch
$PRICE is official Price Discussion merch. That's what it's for.
Think of the shirt from the merch table at a show. A bootleg screen print can look the same, but it isn't the real one. The one from the table is official, and that's the whole point of owning it. $PRICE is the same idea on Ethereum: the official PD token, straight from PD, in the communities PD comes from.
What you can do with it
- Hold it. It sits in your wallet like any ERC-20.
- Send it. Pass it to other PDers, any amount, any time — a standard transfer, nothing in the way.
- Show it. The @price page keeps a Top Holders board, and your balance shows in your wallet settings.
That's the whole list. Owning the official thing is the point.
What it doesn't do
- No perks. No mint priority, no allowlist spot, no early window. Every mint on PD is open on the Project's own terms.
- No discounts. The 5% platform share of a primary mint is the same for every collector, whatever they hold.
- No vote. PD is not a DAO, and $PRICE is not a governance token.
- No revenue. PD's primary fee and secondary royalty go to PD's wallets through its on-chain fee mechanics. Holders get no dividend, no buyback, no profit share and no redemption.
- No gated anything. No holder-only views, docs, channels or invitations.
- No staking. No staking program, no emission, no yield.
- No market from PD. PD runs no market in $PRICE, seeds no liquidity and makes no promises about its price.
Why merch, and nothing more
It's not a stake in PD. A tour shirt isn't a stake in the band. $PRICE carries no ownership or economic interest in Price Discussion as a platform or a business.
PD shouldn't shift with who holds a token. What PD does is set by its immutable contracts and its filter, not by who holds $PRICE on a given day.
Perks invite pressure. A token that unlocks things invites holders to push for more of them. Merch just has to be the real one.
How it stays that way
On-chain. The $PRICE contract is a plain ERC-20 with no hooks into anything else. PD's factory and Projects never call it or read it. Existing Projects are immutable, so nothing already minted could ever be tied to it.
In the app. PriceOS reads $PRICE balances only to show them — your balance in wallet settings, the Top Holders board on @price, and your share of the supply in the Command Stone. Nothing unlocks, changes or sorts differently because of what you hold.
In writing. These pages say it plainly and publicly, so it can't be quietly changed.
