What's Private on PD
A short page, on purpose: most of PD is public, and What's Public is the long list. What follows is everything only you ever see — and the platform's one hard promise about data it never collects in the first place.
Your private workspace
The tools you think with are yours alone, always:
- Notes (⊟) — on Outputs and on calendar days. Owner-only, forever. Write the real reason you bought it.
- Stars (★) — the silent Output bookmark. Private, and deliberately signal-free: starring an Output never generates a Ping to anyone.
- Wishlist (✛) — private buy intent. It drives your Pings (wishlist hits), never anyone else's view of you.
- Cart (▢) and Bench — session working state.
- To-Dos (❍), your Calendar layer, Workflows (☇), and every Sentinel target — including the ETH targets and budgets (◊) attached to them. The platform's watcher reads them to serve you; no other user can.
- Grail Pins, grid presets, Starred rows (artists, projects, traits, soundtracks, collectors) — your declared taste feeds your own interest Pings and stays your own.
Your calls, sealed
Price Targets — your monthly floor call on a Project — are sealed while the window runs: only the count of calls shows. When the month turns, last window's crowd reveals as an anonymous histogram against where the floor actually landed. Your individual call is never published with your name, during or after.
Your preferences
Display settings, colorway, workspaces, every display mode and spell, ping controls, and your muted list (the Hammer ⟙) — all yours alone. Settings follow your account, not your browser, but they follow it privately.
Studio, until you publish
Draft Projects in PD Studio — scripts, test runs, parameters — are visible only to the wallet (or device) that made them. Nothing about a draft touches the chain or the platform's public surfaces until you deploy. The same goes for the submission conversation itself. (A script that goes up in pieces is public on Ethereum as each piece lands, before the Project exists.)
Whitelisting is stealth. Being added to the artist whitelist carries no public signal by itself — no badge, no Artists directory listing, no earned Artist tag — until you deploy your first Project. Only your own wallet can see whitelisted status ahead of that, from Studio. See the Artist glossary entry.
What PD never asks for
There is no personal-information layer to leak: a wallet is the entire account. No email, no name, no phone number, no KYC. The single exception is opt-in and single-purpose — subscribing to the Dispatch Digest stores the email you give it for exactly that delivery, with one-tap unsubscribe.
The line, in one sentence
Public is what you do and display; private is what you save, set, and intend. Albums sit squarely on the public side — display, with your name on it. When a feature moves something across that line, the docs and the surface both say so.
