Terms of Use

Version française : Conditions d'utilisation. These terms are offered in French. By using the English version, you choose to be bound by it.

Last updated October 20, 2026. Questions: support@pricediscussion.com.

1. Who we are

Price Discussion ("PD", "we") is a generative art platform on Ethereum, run from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. PD is the app at pricediscussion.com, its Studio, its API and its PD-made smart contracts.

2. Accepting these terms

By signing in with a wallet, or by using PD at all, you accept these terms, the Privacy Policy and, if you publish work, the Artist Terms. If you don't accept them, don't use PD.

3. Who can use PD

  • You are 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live if that's higher.
  • You are not on a sanctions list kept by Canada, the United States, the United Nations or the European Union, and you are not in a country or region under comprehensive sanctions. PD may block wallets that are.
  • Using PD is legal where you are. That part is yours to check.

4. Your wallet is your account

You sign in with your own Ethereum wallet. PD never holds your keys, your funds or your art, and PD will never ask for your seed phrase or private key. Anyone who does is not PD. Keeping your wallet safe is your responsibility; PD can't recover a lost wallet or reverse what a wallet signed.

5. What PD is, and isn't

PD is an interface to contracts on Ethereum plus an off-chain layer (profiles, follows, pings, settings, the social features). Mints, sales, offers and trades move value directly between wallets, settled by smart contracts. PD never takes custody of anyone's money, can't reverse or refund an on-chain transaction, and doesn't arbitrate disputes between users.

6. Fees

  • Minting: the artist's price plus a small flat storage fee per Output, shown as one all-in price. On every mint, 95% of the price goes to the artist and 5% to PD, inside the mint transaction. The storage fee pays for each Output's preview, reveal and records.
  • Secondary sales: every Project signals a 5% royalty (3% to the artist, 2% to PD), carried by the seller's side. PD adds no marketplace fee on top.
  • Exchange trades carry no fee and no royalty.
  • Gas (Ethereum's network fee) is extra, paid to the network, never to PD.

Prices are set in ETH. A dollar figure shown beside one is an estimate at that moment's rate.

7. Transactions are final

On-chain transactions can't be undone. Check every confirm card and your wallet's own screen before you sign. PD's confirm card always names the action and the amount; your wallet's signature screen is the final word.

8. No advice, no promises about value

Prices, floors, rarity, history and every other number on PD are information. Nothing on PD is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. PD doesn't endorse any Project, Output, sticker, keychain or token as an investment. The artist whitelist is a quality floor, not a recommendation. Your taxes on what you buy and sell are yours.

9. What you own when you collect

You own the token. The artist keeps the copyright. What you may do with the art is set out in the Art License.

10. $PRICE

$PRICE is official digital merch: you can own it, send it and show it on the holders board. It gives no rights: no revenue, no ownership in PD, no perks, no discounts, no access, no vote. PD makes no promise about its value and doesn't run or endorse any market for it.

11. Your conduct

Don't:

  • impersonate anyone, or use names that are hateful or call for violence;
  • publish, mint or sell work that isn't yours to sell;
  • trade with yourself to fake prices or volume, or otherwise manipulate a market;
  • exploit bugs, attack PD or its users, or try to get at anything that isn't yours;
  • overload PD with automated traffic (the API and PDMCP are the doors for software);
  • use PD to break the law.

12. What you post

Your @name, profile and anything else you put on PD stay yours. You let PD store and show them inside PD, and in share images that carry them, for as long as they're on PD. You confirm you have the right to post them.

13. Moderation

PD can hide content, take back an @name, and limit or end a wallet's off-chain features (profile, pings, the social layer) for breaking these terms. What's on-chain stays yours either way: PD can't take a token from a wallet, and wouldn't. Stolen or infringing work is handled as described on Takedowns.

14. Things that live only in PD

Gnomes, achievements and other PD-book items exist in PD's own records, not on a chain. They have no value outside PD, and PD can change them. Stickers and keychains are on-chain tokens.

15. Other services

PD works with services it doesn't run: your wallet, Ethereum, Seaport (the trading protocol OpenSea uses), Arweave, Discord and YouTube, among others. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and PD isn't responsible for them.

16. Availability

PD is provided as is and as available. It changes as it grows, and it can be down. The art doesn't depend on PD staying up: every Output renders from the chain. See Uptime & Incidents.

17. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • PD isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or losses caused by the blockchain, your wallet, other users, third-party services, or market prices.
  • PD's total liability to you for anything related to PD is limited to the fees you paid PD in the 12 months before the claim, or CA$100 if that's more.
  • You'll cover PD for claims caused by your breaking these terms or the law.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer protection law where you live, including Quebec's Consumer Protection Act. Where such a law doesn't allow a limit above, that limit doesn't apply to you.

18. Ending things

You can stop using PD anytime, and ask for your off-chain data to be deleted (see the Privacy Policy). PD can suspend or end a wallet's access to its off-chain features for breaking these terms. Sections 7, 8, 17 and 20 survive.

19. Changes

When these terms change, the date at the top changes, and the changelog says so. For a change that matters, PD gives notice in the app before it takes effect. Using PD after a change means you accept it.

20. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes go to the courts of the judicial district of Montreal, unless consumer protection law gives you the right to go to court where you live.

21. The rest

If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. These terms, the Privacy Policy and (for artists) the Artist Terms are the whole agreement between you and PD about PD.
