Artist Terms
Version française : Conditions pour les artistes. These terms are offered in French. By using the English version, you choose to be bound by it.
Last updated October 20, 2026. These add to the Terms of Use, which also apply. You accept them in the Studio before your first upload.
1. Publishing on PD
PD is filtered: a wallet has to be whitelisted to publish. Whitelisting is a quality floor, not an endorsement, and PD can grant it or take it back at its own discretion. You publish from your own wallet; your Project is your own ERC-721 contract, made by PD's factory.
2. Your work is yours to publish
You promise that:
- the work, its code and its name are yours, or you have every right needed to publish and sell them this way;
- any code, library, font or asset by someone else is used within its license, and that license allows this use;
- the work doesn't copy someone else's work, and isn't hateful or illegal.
You keep the copyright. If any of this turns out to be untrue, you'll cover PD for the claims it causes.
3. On-chain means permanent
Name, symbol, supply, price, script, library and colorway are fixed when you publish. Your contract has no admin function, no pause and no upgrade path; nobody, PD included, can change it or take it down. Test in the Studio until you're sure.
4. Money
- Mints: 95% of your price to you, 5% to PD, paid inside every mint transaction. Collectors also pay a flat storage fee per Output, on top of your price, which funds each Output's preview, reveal and records.
- Royalties: your Project signals a 5% royalty on secondary sales: 3% to you, 2% to PD, through your Project's own splitter, which anyone can trigger to pay out.
- Your own mints: you can mint your own Project anytime for the storage fee alone. If you mint half or more of the supply, a sold-out Project reads ARTIST MINTED OUT, never SOLD OUT, so collectors aren't misled.
- Taxes on what you earn are yours.
5. Pacing
A wallet can publish one Project every 60 days; the factory enforces it. Every new Project opens with a one-minute entry window and a Fair Draw.
6. What collectors may do with your art
Collectors of your Outputs get the license set out in the Art License: personal use, display, sharing and resale. Commercial use needs your permission. If you want collectors to have more, say so publicly in your Project's links or your own channels; you can grant more, never less.
7. What PD may do with your art
You let PD show your work, name, @name and Project inside PD, in share images, in PD's Discord and its feeds, in wallpapers collectors save, and in PD's own promotion of PD and your Project, for as long as your Project exists. This license is free, worldwide and non-exclusive, and it never lets PD sell your art or make new works from it.
8. If something goes wrong
If your work is reported as stolen or infringing, PD handles it as described on Takedowns, which can mean hiding the Project in PD and removing your whitelist. PD can't touch what's on-chain, so tokens stay in their owners' wallets either way.
